ప్రజారోగ్యంపై పరిశోధనలు చేస్తున్న భారత ప్రజారోగ్య సంస్థ ( Public Health Foundation of India-PHFI)కు అంతర్జాతీయంగా రెండో స్థానం లభించింది. ప్రపంచంలో అనేక దేశాల్లో ప్రజారోగ్య సంస్థలున్నాయి. అమెరికాలోనే 32కు పైగా ఉన్నాయి. వీటి పనితీరుపై ఇప్పటి వరకూ ఎవరూ ర్యాంకింగ్స్ ఇవ్వలేదు. ప్రపంచ ఆరోగ్య సంస్థకు గతంలో డైరెక్టర్ జనరల్ గా పనిచేసిన మార్గరెట్ చాన్ నేతృత్వంలో ఈమధ్యే మొదటిసారిగా అంతర్జాతీయ పరిశోధకులు ఈ అంశంపై స్టడీ చేశారు. ప్రజారోగ్య సంస్థలు నిర్వహిస్తున్న పరిశోధనలపై వీరు దృష్టిపెట్టారు.

International recognition of Public Health Institute of India (PHFI)

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), which conducts research on public health, has been awarded the second position internationally. Many countries in the world have public health institutions. There are over 32 in America alone. No one has given rankings on their performance till now. Recently, for the first time, international researchers led by Margaret Chan, who served as the Director General of the World Health Organization, conducted a study on this topic. They focused on research conducted by public health organizations.

Ranks are assigned on the basis of such factors. In this, the famous institution with a history of 150 years ‘London School of hygiene and Tropical medicine (UK) got the first rank. India’s PHFI, established in 2006, was ranked second. PHFI ranked second internationally, surpassing public health institutions like Harvard (4) and Johns Hopkins (5).
