నీట్‌ పరీక్షలో 1563 మందికి గ్రేస్‌ మార్కులను తీసేస్తాంమని సుప్రీంకోర్టుకు కేంద్రం వెల్లడించింది. MBBS, BDS.. ఇతర వైద్య కోర్సుల్లో ప్రవేశానికి నిర్వహించిన జాతీయ అర్హత, ప్రవేశ పరీక్ష (నీట్‌)- యూజీ 2024లో అక్రమాలు జరిగాయిన ఆరోపణలు రావడంతో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. నీట్‌ (NEET) ఫలితాల్లో 1563 మందికి పైగా అభ్యర్థులకు గ్రేస్ మార్కులు (Grace marks) ఇచ్చారు. వాటిని తొలగించి… వాళ్ళకి మళ్లీ పరీక్ష రాసే అవకాశం కల్పిస్తోంది.
ఈ ఏడాది జరిగిన నీట్‌ పరీక్ష (NEET UG 2024 Exam)లో 1563 మంది విద్యార్థులకు అదనంగా గ్రేస్‌ మార్కులు ఇచ్చారు. NCERT పాఠ్య పుస్తకాల్లో మార్పులు, పరీక్ష కేంద్రాల దగ్గర టైమ్ కోల్పోవడంతో వీటిని కలిపారు. వీటి వల్ల ఆ విద్యార్థులకు అత్యధిక మార్కులు రావడంతో గందరగోళం ఏర్పడింది. నీట్‌ పరీక్షలో అక్రమాలు జరిగాయన్న ఆరోపణలతో గతవారం కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ నలుగురు సభ్యులతో కమిటీ వేసింది.
కమిటీ నిర్ణయాలను కేంద్రం సుప్రీంకోర్టు (Supreme Court)కు తెలిపింది. జూన్‌ 23న 1563 మందికి పరీక్ష నిర్వహించి ఈ నెల 30లోగా రిజల్ట్స్ ఇస్తామని ప్రకటించింది. ఆ తర్వాతే కౌన్సెలింగ్‌ చేపడతామని కోర్టుకు వివరించింది. ఒకవేళ మళ్లీ పరీక్ష రాయొద్దని అనుకునే వారు.. గ్రేస్‌ మార్కులు లేకుండా ఒరిజినల్‌ మార్కులతో కౌన్సెలింగ్‌కు వెళ్లొచ్చని తెలిపింది.
నీట్‌ ప్రశ్నపత్రం లీకేజీ (NEET Paper Leak) ఆరోపణలపై దాఖలైన పిటిషన్లపై సుప్రీంకోర్టు విచారణ జరిపింది. వెబ్‌ కౌన్సెలింగ్‌పై స్టే ఇచ్చేందుకు న్యాయస్థానం నిరాకరించింది. కౌన్సెలింగ్‌ యథాతథంగా జరుగుతుందని తెలిపింది. ఈ పిటిషన్లపై రెండు వారాల్లోగానే సమాధానం చెప్పాలని నేషనల్‌ టెస్టింగ్‌ ఏజెన్సీ (NTA)కి నోటీసులు జారీ చేసింది సుప్రీంకోర్టు. తదుపరి విచారణ జులై 8కి వాయిదా పడింది.
మార్కులు ఎలా వచ్చాయంటే…
ఈ ఏడాది మే 5న దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 4,750 కేంద్రాల్లో నీట్‌ ప్రవేశ పరీక్ష జరిగింది. దాదాపు 24 లక్షల మంది అభ్యర్థులు రాశారు. కానీ ఈ సారి 67 మంది విద్యార్ధులు 720కి 720 మార్కులు సాధించారు. హరియాణాలోని ఒకే పరీక్షా కేంద్రానికి చెందిన ఆరుగురు విద్యార్థులకు ఫైస్ట్ ర్యాంక్‌ రావడంతో అనుమానాలు తలెత్తాయి. ఇంత మంది టాప్‌ ర్యాంక్ రావడం వెనుక గ్రేస్‌ మార్కులు కారణమని విద్యార్థులు ఆందోళన చేపట్టారు. దీనిపై ఫిజిక్స్‌ వాలా విద్యాసంస్థ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు అలఖ్‌ పాండే సుప్రీంకోర్టులో పిటిషన్‌ దాఖలు చేశారు. ఆ విద్యార్థులకు ర్యాండమ్‌గా 70 నుంచి 80 మార్కులు కలిపారని కోర్టుకు వివరించారు. అందువల్లే మార్కులు బాగా పెరిగినట్టు తేలింది.

1563 people have to write the exam again!

The Center has informed the Supreme Court that it will remove grace marks from 1563 people in the NEET exam. The central government has taken a crucial decision after allegations of irregularities in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET)- UG 2024 conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS.. and other medical courses. More than 1563 candidates have been given grace marks in NEET results. Removing them… giving them a chance to retake the exam.
Additional grace marks were given to 1563 students in the NEET UG 2024 Exam held this year. This is compounded by changes in NCERT textbooks and loss of time near examination centres. Due to this there was confusion as those students got the highest marks. Last week, the Central Education Department constituted a four-member committee on the allegations of irregularities in the NEET examination.
The Center communicated the decisions of the Committee to the Supreme Court. On June 23, 1563 people were examined and announced that the results will be given by the 30th of this month. She explained to the court that counseling will be done only after that. If those who want not to retake the exam, they can go for counseling with original marks without grace marks.
The Supreme Court heard the petitions filed on the allegations of NEET Paper Leak. The court refused to grant a stay on web counseling. Counseling will be done as is. The Supreme Court has issued notices to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to respond to these petitions within two weeks. The next hearing was adjourned to July 8.

This year, the NEET entrance exam was conducted at 4,750 centers across the country on May 5. About 24 lakh candidates wrote. But this time 67 students scored 720 out of 720 marks. Suspicions arose after six students from a single examination center in Haryana got the first rank. Students raised concern that grace marks are the reason behind so many getting top rank. Alakh Pandey, the founder of Physics Wala, filed a petition in the Supreme Court. It was explained to the court that 70 to 80 marks were added randomly to those students. That is why the marks have increased significantly.
