India boasts the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in 19 locations, including Hyderabad. NIFT offers various courses:

Eligibility Criteria
– **Bachelor of Design**:
– **Eligibility**: Intermediate or equivalent. Current Intermediate and Secondary students can also apply.
– **Bachelor of Fashion Technology**:
– **Eligibility**: Must have passed Intermediate with Maths and Physics. Final year students of a three-year diploma are also eligible.
– **Age**: Should be below 24 years as of August 1st next year. SC/ST/Divyang candidates have a five-year exemption.
– **Master of Design, Master of Fashion Management**:
– **Eligibility**: Any degree pass, or UG Diploma from NIFT or NID with at least three years of duration.
– **Qualification**: Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BF Tech) from NIFT or B.E., B.Tech. Final year students can also apply. No maximum age limit for post-graduation.

General Ability Test (GAT)
– Required for admission in Bachelor of Design and Master of Design courses.
– Exam Duration: Two hours.
– Medium: English, Hindi.

The General Ability Test (GAT) also applies for admission to Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Technology, and Master of Fashion Management courses, consisting of 150 questions to be completed in three hours.
