Job Alert:  171 Vacancies Announced at NLC India

NLC India Limited, located in Tamil Nadu (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation), has released a new [Recruitment Notification] to fill 171 vacancies. These include 69 posts for [Junior Overman (Trainee)] and 102 posts for [Mining Sirdar].

Category-wise Vacancies:

• Unreserved (UR) – 90

• EWS (Economically Weaker Section) – 16

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 26

• SC (Scheduled Castes) – 37

• ST (Scheduled Tribes) – 2

Eligibility Criteria:

Junior Overman (Trainee):

• Must have completed a [Diploma in Mining Engineering] or an equivalent course.

• Must possess an [Overman Certificate of Competency] and a [First Aid Certificate].

Mining Sirdar:

• Must have a [Diploma] or [Degree] in any subject (Mining Engineering not mandatory).

• Must have a Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency, First Aid Certificate, or an Overman Competency Certificate along with Mining Diploma.

General candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks, and SC/ST candidates with 50% marks.

Age Limit:

• Maximum age limit: 30 Years

• SC/ST – 5 years relaxation

• OBC (NCL) – 3 years relaxation

• Ex-Servicemen – As per government rules

• NLC employees – No upper age limit

Application Fee:

Salary Structure:

• Junior Overman (Trainee) – ₹31,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month

• Mining Sirdar – ₹26,000 – ₹1,10,000 per month

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on three stages:

1. Document Verification

2. [Written Test] (100 marks)

3. [Medical Fitness Test]

Written Test Pattern:

• Part-1: General Aptitude – 30 questions from [Quantitative Aptitude], [Reasoning], and [General Awareness] (Diploma level)

• Part-2: Subject-specific – 70 questions

• [MCQ Format] – 1 mark per question, No Negative Marking

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Medium: English only

Qualifying Marks:

• General – 50%

• SC/ST/OBC – 40%

Additional Information:

• Final selection is based on Medical Tests even after qualifying in the written test.

• Candidates working in Government/Private sector must submit a [No Objection Certificate (NOC)] at the time of document verification.

• SC/ST candidates appearing for the written test will be reimbursed [Sleeper Class Train Fare].
