IBPS – Institute of Banking Personal conducts a Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the RRB’s for the recruitment of Group-A officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”- Office Assistants (Multipurpose). To know everything about IBPS RRB CRP read below.
Brief about RRB’s:
The Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) were established in 1975 under the provisions of the Ordinance promulgated on 26th September 1975 and Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976. RRBs are financial institutions which ensure adequate credit for agriculture and other rural sectors.
IBPS RRB Vacancy
For the year 2024 RRB released the notification with total vacancy of 12,253. Out of which 5800 have been released for IBPS RRB Clerk (Office Assistant) – highest among all the vacancies. 3583 vacancies for IBPS RRB PO. For Officer Scale II, III the vacancies are 930.
Compared to the previous which had vacancies of 8612 in participating 43 regional rural banks, for the year 2024 the aspirants have a higher scope of competing and securing a job.

Educational Qualification and Post Qualification Experience
The basic educational qualification for any post IBPS is graduate from a recognized institute and proficiency in regional languages along with working knowledge of computer. Though Officer Scale –II would require 2 years working experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution along with the basic educational qualification.
Officer Scale – II has various posts and requires various educational qualification and experience as mentioned in the below table:
| Information Technology Officer Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. | One year (in the relevant field) |

Officer Scale – III requires a minimum 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.
Online Examination Structure:
There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for a wrong answer choose, aspirants should take note of this and stay vigilant.
Note: For the Prelims and Mains Examinations aspirants can give the exams in languages like Hindi and English and choose their regional language. And the aspirants should carefully the version of test in the online application.
Cut Off Score
IBPS RRB Clerk has a cut off score for the prelims to be able to appear for the mains which further has a cut off score to get the job and have provisional allotment.
In the same way IBPS RRB CRP has a cut off score for prelims and followed by mains, clearing which the aspirant can attend the interview and get a provisional allotment.
Interview (Applicable Only For Post of Officers – Scale I, II and III)
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Main examination for the post of Officers Scale I and in the Single level examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III under CRP- RRBs- XIII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be co-ordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the assistance of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.
Identity Verification
Aspirants need to provide documents as mentioned below for identity verification in examination centers as well as at the time of the interview
- The call letter
- A photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/Permanent Driving License/ Voter’s Card with photograph / Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer or People’s Representative on official letterhead / Identity Card issued by a recognized college or university/ Aadhaar /E-Aadhaar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity card with photograph.
- Photograph and Biometric of candidate is captured during entrance.

- Candidates are required to upload their – Photograph – Signature – Left thumb impression – A hand written declaration – certificate as mentioned in Clause J (x) for eligible candidates – Candidates will also be required to capture and upload their photograph through webcam or mobile phone during registration process.
