The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released a fresh job notification for the recruitment of Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) posts in the AP Forest Subordinate Services. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent qualification.

Physical Standards
- Male: Minimum height of 163 cm; chest expansion 5 cm
- Female: Minimum height of 150 cm
- Bonus Marks: Candidates with NCC certificates will receive bonus marks during selection.
Age Limit
- As of 01.07.2025, candidates must be between 18 to 30 years.
- Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC, ST, BC, and EWS categories.

1. Screening Test
- Total Marks: 150
- Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Part A: General Studies & Mental Ability – 75 Questions – 75 Marks
- Part B: General Science & General Mathematics (SSC Standard) – 75 Questions – 75 Marks
- Duration: 150 Minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer
2. Main Examination
- Qualifying Essay Test – Descriptive (English/Telugu/Urdu) – 50 Marks – 45 minutes
- Paper 1: General Studies & Mental Ability – 100 Marks – 100 Minutes
- Paper 2: General Science & Mathematics – 100 Marks – 100 Minutes
- Negative Marking applicable
- Merit will be based on marks secured in Paper 1 + Paper 2 + CPT
3. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Mandatory qualifying test to assess basic computer skills.
4. Physical Test & Medical Examination
- Walking Test
- Medical fitness will be assessed as per recruitment standards.
