What Is HCL TechBee?
TechBee is HCL’s early career program designed for students who have completed Class 12. It provides 12 months of hybrid training in IT services and digital support. After successful completion, candidates are hired by HCLTech with a starting salary of ₹1.96 to ₹2.2 lakh per annum.
This program is ideal for students who want to start earning early, gain real-world experience, and pursue higher education simultaneously.
Eligibility Criteria for TechBee 2025
To apply for TechBee, students must meet the following conditions:
- Must have passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025.
- Must have studied Mathematics or Business Mathematics as a subject.
- Must have scored at least 60% in Class 12.
- Students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (State Board) need 75% marks.
- CBSE/ICSE students must have at least 70% marks.
Students who scored 80% or above in JEE Mains are exempt from the HCL Career Aptitude Test (HCL CAT) and can directly proceed to the interview round.
Higher Education While Working
TechBee participants can pursue online or distance education from top institutions like:
- IIT Guwahati
- IIIT Kottayam
- BITS Pilani
- SASTRA University
- IIM Sirmaur
- Amity University Online
HCL has signed MoUs with these universities to support TechBee scholars in continuing their education while working full-time.
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Online registration
- HCL Career Aptitude Test (HCL CAT)
- Versant English Test
- Personal Interview
Candidates who clear all stages are admitted into the TechBee program.
Training Structure
Training is conducted over 12 months in three phases:
- Foundation Training
- Technology/Domain Training
- Professional Practice
Training centers are located in:
- Lucknow
- Noida
- Madurai
- Chennai
- Vijayawada
- Hyderabad
- Nagpur
The program includes online assessments, discussions, and case-based submissions.

Program Fees and Scholarships
TechBee offers two tracks:
