The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), based in Bengaluru, has announced direct recruitment for 44 vacancies across various technical and administrative posts. Selected candidates may be posted at CPRI units in Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Noida, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Raipur.
Vacancy Details:
- Scientific Assistant – 4 posts
- Engineering Assistant – 8 posts
- Technician (Grade-1) – 6 posts
- Junior Hindi Translator – 1 post
- Assistant (Grade-2) – 23 posts
- Assistant Librarian – 2 posts
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Scientific Assistant: First-class B.Sc. (Chemistry) with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Engineering Assistant: First-class Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering with 5 years of field experience.
- Technician (Grade-1): ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
- Junior Hindi Translator: Graduation with Hindi and English as subjects.
- Assistant (Grade-2): First-class in BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA. Must have completed the Basic Computer Course (BCC) offered by NIELIT.
- Assistant Librarian: Graduate degree along with a Diploma in Library Science.
Age Limits (as of application closing date):
- Scientific & Engineering Assistants: Max 35 years
- Technician (Grade-1): Max 28 years
- Junior Hindi Translator, Assistant (Grade-2), Assistant Librarian: Max 30 years
Age relaxation applicable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.
Application Fee:
- ₹1,000 for Scientific Assistant, Engineering Assistant, and Junior Hindi Translator
- ₹700 for Technician Grade-1, Assistant Grade-2, and Assistant Librarian
- No application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen/Women applicants
Salary (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix):
- Scientific & Engineering Assistants, Jr. Hindi Translator: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
- Technician Grade-1: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
- Assistant Grade-2 & Assistant Librarian: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100
Selection Process:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) for all posts
- Skill Test/Trade Test (where applicable)
- Final selection will be based on CBT performance.
- Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year probation period.
Exam Centers:
- Kolkata, Bengaluru, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Noida/Delhi
Note: Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications and fees for each.
Applicants currently employed in government/private jobs must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of document verification.
