The Ministry of Education has introduced five new free Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses on the SWAYAM portal, aimed at equipping students and professionals with essential AI skills. These courses span multiple disciplines and are designed to meet the growing demand for AI expertise across industries such as data science, finance, sports analytics, and scientific research.
SWAYAM is the Government of India’s flagship online learning platform offering free access to high-quality education from school to postgraduate level. The newly launched AI courses are structured to provide both theoretical foundations and practical applications, with certification options available upon completion.

1. AI/ML Using Python
This foundational course covers the basics of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, including:
- Statistics
- Linear Algebra
- Optimization
- Data Visualization
It also introduces Python programming, widely used in data science.

2. Cricket Analytics with AI
Developed by IIT Madras faculty, this course explores sports analytics using Python, with cricket as the primary case study.
